    Telluride FIRE Festival

    Inspired by Burning Man, The Telluride Fire Festival will be centered around a free public and interactive experience of fire artistry.
    The fire displays will occur from when darkness falls to late evening on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. These displays will be held both in Mountain Village and on 'Main Street' and all stationary art intallations will be available during the day for viewing.

    7th Annual Rundola

    Get your sweat on for a good cause before the rest of the day's festivities!
     The 4th of July kicks off with the Telluride Foundation's Rundola, a recreational foot race to benefit the Telluride Foundation. Participants begin at the base of the gondola in the town of Telluride and finish at the top of the ridge adjacent to the San Sophia gondola mid-station.  Runners follow the Telluride Trail (4.600 feet long, 40 feet wide, 13% uphill grade) or can simply bushwack to the finish. The elevation gain is 1,810 feet from start to finish. Participants are grouped by age and gender into categories for the race.  You can register for the Rundola  here .

    Hardrock 100 Endurance Race

    The Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run is an ultramarathon of 100.5 miles, 33,050 feet of elevation climb, 33,050 feet of descent for a total elevation change of 66,100 feet ran at an average of over 11,000 feet.
    The race is held on a loop course, including 4WD roads, dirt trails, and cross country terrain in Southern Colorado's San Juan Mountain range. 
    The run begins and ends in Silverton, Colorado and travels through Telluride, Ouray and the ghost town of Sherman, and crossing 13 major mountain passes in the 12,000 to 13,000 foot (elevation) range. Completion of the event is marked by kissing the Hardrock, a picture of a ram's head painted on a large stone.

    A 100 mile mountain bike race commencing and culminating in the Town of Telluride.
    The first expected riders crossing the finish line between 1:30-2PM. Final finishers betweem 6-7PM.  
    The celebratory awards ceremony will be at 7PM at the Gondola Plaza in the Town of Telluride.

    Imogene Pass Run

    What began as a way to train for the Pike's Peak marathon in 1974 is now a full-fledged race. The race from Ouray to Telluride over the 13,114 foot  Imogene Pass . This is a 17.1 mile point to point mountain race. The pass is a 4×4 dirt road that passes through mining ruins, up jagged peaks, and above treeline. The runners finish at the  Sheridan Opera House on Oak Street in Telluride.

    BRAvo Auction

    Decorate a bra at the Ah Haa School for the Arts BRAvo auction by Friday October 7th. Gentlemen from Telluride's Fire and Police Departments and Service Clubs will model the community's bra creations in both a live and silent auction. Event benefits the San Miguel Resource Center & Bosom Buddies, a Breast Cancer Support Group of Southwestern Colorado. 
    The BRAvo Auction will be held on Thursday, October 13th at the New Sheridan Bar at 7pm.
