With word of a new ski area I descended on Telluride from Steamboat Springs in 1972. Along with a band of other ski professionals I was hired on as one of the original Telluride Ski Patrol members. I ended up spending over 25 years on the mountain and making them my home. The first hang glider pilot to fly these hills and founder of the Telluride Air Force, I am now a certified flight instructor and give commercial glider rides out of the Telluride Airport.
