La Marmotte is one of the most romantic restaurants in Telluride housed in a 125-year old historic ice house. During the summer season, the patio is open with ample space to enjoy al fresco dining. Owner and Executive Chef Mark Reggiannini adheres to simplicity when cooking his French Bistro inspired food. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and worked as Sous Chef at Jean Georges Vongerichten’s Mercer Kitchen in NYC before arriving in Telluride. Favorite menu items include appetizers – Ahi Tuna Carpaccio, and Seared Deep Sea Scallops and main courses – Coq au Vin and Grueye and Arugula Stuffed Chicken Breast. The wine list is well balanced and the Tahitian Vannila Bean Creme Brule and Rocky Mountain Crumble are knockouts.
